Mustang Island & Corpus Christi Bay, Texas

Date Fished: 10/16/04 Water Temperature: 72 Water Clarity: 0
Went out around 8:00am to Fish Pass Jetties. The weather started off looking like it would be a calm day and might be able to use top dogs, but just as we arrived the wind had picked up and the tide was pretty low. The water clarity made it almost impossible to catch mullet in the surf although after an hour I could see bait fish everywhere. We decided to take our bait and try a quick drive to Shamrock Cove and wade. The fishing was again slow today and I didn't catch one thing but my buddy caught a nice 17" fat trout and the only keeper today.
