P.I.N.S., Texas

Date Fished: 10/09/04 Water Temperature: 77 Water Clarity: 0
My brother got back from Big Shell and Little Shell North Padre Island Beaches - famous spots located inside the Padre Island National Seashore for great fishing in a less crowded area and where you can catch the big ones. Four (4) wheel drive vehicles are a must after a certain point 12 miles south of the beach which is noted by a large sign. It's best to drive during low tide the night before { bring camping gear and cast net} drive back during low tide the following day. Unfortunately it was a ugly weekend with rain and 20 mph winds. He only managed one 33" Red Drum using live mullet.
