Fishin' With Roman - Port A Jetties
Date Fished: 11/18/04 Water Temperature: 0 Water Clarity: Murky
Went with family friend and amateur fishing guide Roman Mazurek to the Port A Jetties to go gigging. We put in at the Crab Man Marina and went to St. Joe's (San Jose) Island and worked the shoreline looking for flounder. The water was cool but very, very murky because of the large amount of rain the island received the day before (approx. 5 inches). There were lots of boats and waders on both sides of the island but none looked to be getting any flounder. There was 0 water visibility even in the shallows but I did manage to accidentally step on one flounder but didn't take any home. Only fished about an hour and then called it quits. Hope this weekend will be better.
