Flounder Pounding -Corpus Christi Bay

It's hot and heavy everyone. The fall season is coming to a close and the first few cold fronts for November have produced some monsters.

Set out around 10pm with Capt. Roman Mazurek and his new propelled flounder pounder rigged jon boat.

With the weather gods against us and offering warm temp and high winds, we didn't expect to do all that well.

We arrived in our first spot off of St. Joe's and found a bunch of good keepers close to the shoreline. We didn't see many beds so we decided to move to further north to our second spot which has been know to carry the quality fish.

We quickly gigged four of the biggest and headed home. One was a little over 24" and the biggest was over 26".

Nice... Flounder is one of the best tasting fish. My personal favorite!
