Lake Fork Lunkers

Date Fished: 03/11/06 Water Temperature: 64 Water Clarity: clear

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usWhat a great birthday! My first trip to lake fork and something I will always remember. Ty and I setup with Tim Walker's guide service you can read more about home here. We had a blast we started off in the morning with white flukes and Tim caught one right off the bat. We moved to another location where Ty caught an awesome 7 pounder using a watermelon senko. We continued to use senkos for the next few hours before lunch and in that time I landed a nice 3 pounder and 2 nice size ones.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usAfter lunch we headed out to a remote spot where I noticed there was more grass and the water was very clear. I switched to a white spinnerbait and with my first cast landed a nice fish. I got settled and after a few more casts I hooked into a nice 5-6 pounder that jumped five times before I got it into the boat. I limited out with a nice kicker and managed a decent 14lbs for the day.

I am going to try to go back in two weeks. I can't wait.
