Was a beautiful day on the lake with three friends and a hunger for some big bass. We noticed on the way to our first spot there were feeding sand bass breaking the water so we started off with some fun and caught about 20 small ones. We then headed off to our next spot and located hydrilla. I managed a couple of nice ones right off the bat, and so did everyone else. Unfortunately they were not the size we were looking for so we headed out to other locations and didn't find the grass. We then headed back toward the first spot, but went on the opposite side where the biggest bass I have caught hit my spinnerbait. The funny part was that I fought it for a few seconds and then jumped off. I was so pissed that I yelled at the sun gods and threw down my lure. As I raised my rod I saw the bass come out from the cover and hit it again. I had it this time. 9-10 pounder in the boat with my buddies watching.

Fished from 6-11:00 and only managed undersized bass at our cove. We had a fun time, but was not able to find bigger fish and with a dead battery the cove was the only option.

Desert Air {Columbia River} Yakima, Washington II

Today was our final day of fishing in Yakima and we have picked up a few things from our last trip. We headed out around 6:00am and landed two big ones in the boat on our rocky point. We then set out to find more rocky points and I managed 5 throughout the day. My brother with 3 and dad with 1. It was beautiful day on the river with almost no wind witch made it easy to troll around those rocky points. A great day for fishing.

Pond Fishing {Yakima, Washington} II

Traveled to the I82 ponds and located a few fish, but had no idea what to use to catch them. I wanna say they were trout, but they never got close enough for us to have a good look. The Texas boyz were clueless. We didn't catch any fish today, but got good advice from some ladies who were catching the damn things. Berkley power bait (chartreuse).

The day started out right with 2 quick bronze backs in the boat with a nice 16 I and a 20 incher my brother landed. Except for the 2o mph winds and my stomach ache throughout the whole trip we had a blast. We we catching the small mouth on rocky points with a red craw crankbait with orange bottoms fishing 8-10 feet. We only landed 4 today, but we are preparing for another pond trip in the morning.

Pond Fishing {Yakima, Washington} I

Went out with my father and brother and kicked off our fishing extravaganza of a full week of fishing. We hit a few public ponds today located on the greenway, but noting was biting this time around. We are just practicing for the trip to desert air in the morning to catch some small mouth.

Richland Chambers Lake -Corsicana, TX

The fish gods are just not on my side- I am currently last place in a group of 20 or more boaters all with a standing of zero-- 64th after this tournament and have one more, a second chance shot and the next tourney counts 50% more than previous ones. Never give up.

This lake was pretty easy, the two days before fishing in a short amount of time managed to hook into good ones. Even my buddy, Beau was kicking some bass and hooked into a giant. All were caught on wind blown rock points. Free-line senko, yellow/white crankbaits, and spinnerbait. The day of the tournament was a different story. I really wish I was able to be a boater. We spent the whole day fishing stumps in 11- 19ft of semi clear water. I landed 3 sand bass (wrong species) using spinnerbait, crankbait and a baby brushhog. Everything went wrong starting the day with a broke a rod tip and losing 4 lures due to bad line. My boater managed one and I got nada. The day was beautiful with overcast and 15mph winds.

I am looking forward to Cedar Creek Lake and hopefully can get back in this game.

Llama Pond

Went back to this diamond in the rough. I still can't believe how good this place is! Went out on the tube again for the second part of the day. Managed to catch seven Bass, I caught one on a Terminator Super Stainless Spinnerbait in chartreuse/red w/gold colorado blade and a gold indiana blade in the 3/8 oz. That fish was around the 2 and a half range. I tyed on a chatterbait in black and brown, trailered with a yum chunk in chameleon color and managed to loose a nice fish on it. My hook was dull, so I got rid of that and tyed on a 5" Senko in pearl w/black and gold flake, texas rigged with straight shank 4/0 hook and a 3/8 oz. tru tungsten slip sinker. Managed to catch 3 Bass on this rig. First fish was a monster, weighed in right at seven pounds even, I could fit my whole fist in it's mouth and then some. If that fish would of been full it would of easily exceeded ten pounds! The next one was a very healthy 4 pounder and another that was around 2 and a half. I ran out of that color Senko and tyed on a Terminator buzzbait that I switched out the original blade and put a tri- blade on instead, the color was a chartreuse and white. I caught three on that one, a 5 pound 8 oz., 4 pound 4 oz. and a 2 pound 6 oz.

All fish with the exception of one were caught on the outskirts of standing timber with grass at the timbers edge. The one was caught on the other side of the pond in some grass.

These fish put up an amazing fight, they pull my tube all over the place and most of the fish if not all of the fish have never been caught. I believe in the fall when the bass gorge themselves before the winter I should be able to pull a ten out of there if not bigger.

A note on float tubing, if you have never experienced a big bass getting full airborne on the taking of a buzzbait right in your face then I suggest you try this method of fishing, the excitement far exceeds that of fishing on a boat. It's a new perspective that is awesome!

Llama Pond

Llama Pond is one of my many secret spots that only I get to fish. I float tubed it yesterday and got one heck of a sunburn. First bass weighed in at 6lbs. 14oz. caught on a purple and black 1/2 oz. Terminator pro's secrect jig and it was trailered with a zoom baby brush hog in junebug red color. I caught one more on that jig and eyeballed it to be around 4lbs and 8oz. I switched it up and tyed on a zoom ol' monster 10 1/2 in. ribbontail worm in red shad color. I caught three bass, one being around 4lbs. even and two others around 2lbs. 6oz. I also managed to hook a 6lb. channel cat on that worm as well.

All the fish were caught in 8-15 ft. of water on the outskirts of standing timber with grass coming into play. I will head out there today and see if I can get A big Bass!

Started around 6:30 this morning. Beau and I started off making a run to the left arm of the lake. I hardly ever go that side, but the wind was calm and a friend of Beau's said he was ripping it up on that side by thick hydrilla. We never really found that spot, but I did manage to catch 3 on that side including a fat sand bass. This was the first time I have been hooking them using my lake fork baby ring fry this season. We tried a few different areas, but decided to head to my sweet spot. On the way there, we noticed that the hydrilla was everywhere along the shore line leading to my spot. We made a quick stop and I hooked 6 small ones within a hour with my white spinner and Beau used a white senko and managed to hook a few. He also caught the biggest of the day using a watermelon trick worm, but failed to land it.

All in all we had a good day.
